Why you should always try to add a clients logo into a projection package

​Adding a client's logo to the projector background can totally level up the coolness of a room and take AV customer service to a whole new level of awesomeness. It might just be a small improvement of 1%, but trust me, it can make a BIG difference in how people perceive a room and the event happening in it.

When you display a client's logo on the projector background, it adds a personal touch that instantly jazzes up the room. It's like saying, "Hey, this event is all about you, and we're proud to show off your logo!" It's perfect for corporate events and important meetings, where presenting a professional and polished image is a must.

But it's not just about looking fancy. Having the logo on the screen also acts like a magnet, drawing everyone's attention right to it. Okay, I get it, but now how do I do it?

Step 1: The design
To create a digital podium graphic, you must first begin with the design. In VECTR, create a canvas that is 1280x800 pixels. This may seem like an odd number, but this is the exact aspect ratio that our NEC projectors are set to run at. Any smaller and it will look haphazard, any larger and you will get an "unsupported file size" message. Ultimately you should end up with something like this:

Once you have your canvas setup, you are good to all elements like logos, backgrounds, and other fun additions. If you haven't already, head over to the podium page and check out the section on Principals of Good Design for some tips on how to create a truly captivating graphic. Also, continue to be mindful of altering client logos, being sure to obtain their signature of approval before opening doors to the public. 

Okay, my graphic is completed, how do I load it onto the projector?

To load you graphic onto one of the NEC projectors, first export the design onto a USB drive. Plug this drive into the projector and access its contents through the menu function. Once inside the drive move the selector to the file title that is the graphic you are wanting to display. Press 'MENU' and you should get the following prompt:

Navigate down to 'LOGO' and press 'ENTER'. This should then bring you to the screen below:

​Move the cursor to 'SET TO BACKGROUND LOGO' and press 'ENTER' again. A screen to confirm whether to change the logo or not will be displayed. Move the cursor to 'YES' and press 'ENTER' a final time. Congratulations, you have just loaded a custom logo onto one of the NEC projectors!
