DIGITAL PODIUM LOGO UPLOAD

In the AV department, we have two types of digital podiums! Our latest additions function a little differently than our older models, meaning that uploading an image to them is a little more complicated. Nevertheless, the method is still fairly simple, and all you’ll need is this short guide and a flash drive!

Podium images are usually prepared by AV Staff, or by the client for us ahead of time. For both podiums, we tend to use USB flash drives to upload the files themselves. Our gray models have an input for those flash drives near the top of the inner shelving. With your podium powered on and your flash drive inserted, simply wait until you are brought to a bright pink main screen, with a cell-phone like bar at the bottom containing G-Mail, Chrome, your Photos app, and more

From here:

  1. Use the remote to select the white circle with six dots at the bottom. Pointing the remote towards the bottom right corner of the screen typically yields a better response.

  1. Open your file explorer, the yellow folder with gears on it labeled “Explorer.” This will not only allow you to access files from the flash drive itself, but will also allow you to move them onto the podium.

  1. Enter the USB drive with your podium image.

  1. Use the remote to select the “Multi” option on the uppermost toolbar, then select your podium image. You’ll know it’s selected when the text glows a bright orange!

  1. Move back to the upper toolbar, but this time, select “Editor.” When a menu opens up, select “Copy.” Once the menu goes away, you can back out of the USB drive itself using the remote.

  1. Select the system’s “Internal Memory,” then select “Pictures.” This is where we store our podium images. You can also select past podium images here.

  1. Select “Editor” at the top again, this time selecting “Paste” right after. Like any computer, it’ll simply copy the file over from the flash drive.

Images can also be selected from the podium’s Photos menu, which operates identically to an Android device, though it must be uploaded to do so. It’s typically easier to go from the file explorer, but if the image is already there, you’re free to use the other, more streamlined way!
